Election Day Film Event and Returns Viewing in Library Event Area In-Person

Election Day Film Event and Returns Viewing Program Description: Drop in to watch the historical voting rights film, Selma, directed by the acclaimed Ava DuVernay, who most recently brought Isobel Wilkerson’s Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents to the screen. Selma documents the marches led by Dr. King and others in 1965 from Selma to Montgomery. Afterwards, our screens in the Library will be tuned to election results up until 8:30 pm. Refreshments will be served.

 

Election & Voting Film Series Description: Join us in the Library Event area to view and discuss films centered on voting rights and related topics. Feel free to bring your own covered drink, snack or lunch.

  • A Q & A and panel discussion of the movie will follow a viewing of Lies, Politics and Democracy on Tuesday September 17th at 3:00 PM in the Library Events area.
