The Joy and Importance of Movement In-Person
Lack of physical activity is a source of numerous detrimental health conditions such as weight gain, feelings of depression, isolation and loss of hope and motivation. This session builds on the book "The Joy of Movement" by Kelly McGonigal PhD and will focus on how regular physical movement is fundamental to the human condition and how movement contributes to finding happiness, hope, connection (to yourself and others) and the courage to persevere over obstacles. Join Natural Sciences Professor Dave Opon for this enlightening workshop at the JJC Library Events Area.
