NaNoWriMo Prep: Create A Character with Professor LaTour In-Person

From the name you choose for a character to the setting you put them in, a story can evolve. In this session,Kristin LaTour will guide you through some practice activities in developing a character or two and getting them interacting in a setting. We won’t worry about plot, so this is just playing with some people we create. Where they go from there is up to you!

Professor Kristin LaTour is a poet and prose writer. Her full-length poetry collection is “What Will Keep Us Alive,” and she also has several chapbooks and publications in journals. Her essays have been published in blogs and trade magazines. She is currently writing a novel focused on the life of a woman on the edges of the New England Whaling industry in the mid-1800s.
