Make an Appointment - In-Person Appointment

Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

The JJC Library offers reference appointments in-person! You can book a variety of different sessions. Below are the descriptions of the different types of sessions available:

Student Sessions

  • General library help (20 minutes)
    • Book this session for help with any number of Library related issues.
  • Intro to library research (30 minutes)
    • This session will help you get started with library research specific to your assignment.
  • Advanced research help (45 minutes)
    • This session is for help with advanced research for a specific assignment. Book this session if you have alreayd done some library research and are having difficulty finding the number or type of sources you need related to your topic.

Faculty Sessions

  • Finding library resources to use in your courses (45 minutes)
    • Assistance identifying and locating primary or supplementary material to include in your courses.
  • Setting up library resources in Canvas (30 minutes)
    • Assistance with identifying and developing stable links for library resources in Canvas courses.
  • Faculty research help (45 minutes)
    • Assistance with conducting professional research and finding sources in your subject area.

Appointments may be shorter or longer than stated depending on patron needs and Librarian availability. Please meet the Librarian at the Reference Desk in the Library at your scheduled time.

Appointments are currently only available to JJC Students, Faculty, and Staff. You are required to register with your JJC email address to book an appointment.
